“Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” (“Star Trek Beyond”) este un film SF regizat de Justin Lin după un scenariu scris de Simon Pegg și Doug Jung, având la bază seria “Star Trek” creată de Gene Roddenberry. Pelicula reprezintă al treisprezecelea film din franciza “Star Trek” și al treilea din seria reboot.
Din distribuție fac parte – Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Idris Elba și Sofia Boutella. Filmul reprezintă una din ultimele producții ale actorului Anton Yelchin, care a murit într-un accident de mașină în iunie 2016. “Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” este dedicat atât lui Yelchin, cât și actorului Leonard Nimoy, cel care l-a interpretat pe Spock în franciza originală.
Abia așteptam să se lanseze “Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” și pot să spun că așteptarea a meritat. Filmul ne aduce o nouă misiune din universul “Star Trek” care ne ține cu sufletul la gură pe tot parcursul filmului, iar cele două ore petrecute în sala de cinema T Imax din Afi Palace Cotroceni au trecut surprinzător de repede și aștept cu nerăbdare următorul film din franciză.
Mi-a plăcut mult modul în care se desfășoară acțiunea, în stil alert, fără pauze, îmbinând cu succes elementele specifice filmelor “Star Trek”. Mai mult decât atât, mi-a plăcut aerul revigorant al filmului adus printr-un scenariu bine construit și o regie excelentă.
Așa cum probabil știți deja, reboot-ul francizei “Star Trek” a început în 2009 și s-a dovedit a fi un experiment fascinant. Trebuie să recunosc că, aproape de fiecare dată, prefer filmul original deoarece mi se pare că reboot-ul, oricât de bun ar fi, nu poate să se ridice la nivelul producției originale. Însă în cazul francizei “Star Trek”, lucrurile stau puțin diferit pentru că mi-a plăcut atât seria originală, cât și acest reboot al francizei. Consider că seria reboot a încercat să rămână fidelă materialului original, însă, în ceea ce privește scenariul și personajele, producătorii au găsit o modalitate de a spune o poveste nouă, păstrând, în același timp, caracteristicile universului “Star Trek”. Acest lucru definește primele două filme din seria reboot, iar acum Justin Lin revine cu un film care este amuzant și inteligent, oferindu-ne o aventură palpitantă.
Datorită scenariului foarte bine realizat de Simon Pegg și Doug Jung și a regiei executate într-un mod inteligent de Justin Lin, “Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” a devenit filmul meu preferat din franciza reboot.
Acțiunea din “Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” se petrece la aproximativ trei ani de la evenimentele din “Star Trek În întuneric”. Căpitanul James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) și echipajul navei Enterprise se află într-o misiune de a explora spațiul. Chiar dacă au rămas activi, participând la tot felul de misiuni de menținere a păcii, monotonia vieții din spațiu l-a făcut pe Kirk să se întrebe dacă aceasta reprezintă calea potrivită atât pentru Federație, cât și pentru viitorul său.
După un scurt popas în Yorktown, echipajul Enterprise este chemat înapoi la acțiune pentru a ajuta o navă care a aterizat forțat pe o planetă. Din nefericire, această misiune de salvare este împiedicată de un atac venit din partea unui dușman al Federației – Krall (Idris Elba).
În încercarea de a-și salva echipajul, nava Federației este distrusă, majoritatea membrilor Enterprise sunt capturați, iar Kirk, Chekov (Anton Yelchin), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Sulu (John Cho), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Bones (Karl Urban) și Scotty (Simon Pegg) aterizează pe o planetă din apropriere. La scurt timp, Scotty se împrietenește cu Jaylah, un localnic (Sofia Boutella). Pentru a supraviețui, deși separați, toți încearcă să găsească echipajul și să plece de pe această planetă, dar, în același timp, ei trebuie să îl oprească pe Krall, care pune la cale un plan diabolic.

Ceea ce mi-a plăcut la “Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” este faptul că filmul a pus accent pe trăirile personajelor, iar scenariștii reușesc să evidențieze excelent aspecte ale pesonalității membrilor echipajului. Duo-ul Bones și Spock formează, fără îndoială, cea mai distractivă echipă. Kirk se comportă ca un lider adevărat alături de Chekov, în timp ce Uhura și Sulu lucrează împreună pentru a reuși să se salveze deoarece au fost capturați de Krall.
Din multe puncte de vedere, “Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” pare un episod din seria originală – de la sticlele de brandy Saurian până la citatele din Shakespeare. Scenariul cuprinde elemente din istoria francizei și, pe baza lor, creează un produs original – accentuând elementele clasice din seria originală și oferind oportunitatea dezvoltării unor personaje secundare excelente – Jaylah și Krall.
Regizorul Justin Lin își face simțită prezența – prin construirea unor scene de acțiune palpitante, dar și prin oferirea unei perspective noi asupra echipajului navei Enterprise.
În concluzie, având în vedere că 2016 reprezintă a 50-a aniversare a lumii “Star Trek”, ar fi fost păcat ca noul film să dezamăgească. Din contră, “Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” reprezintă o surpriză plăcută, având un scenariu bine construit și o regie excelentă, și ne amintește încă o dată de ce franciza s-a bucurat de succes și popularitate în cei 50 de ani.
În România, “Star Trek. Dincolo de infinit” are premiera în cinematografe la data de 22 iulie 2016. Filmul este distribuit de Ro Image 2000. Vizionare plăcută!
