Serialul „Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” va avea premiera la Warner TV pe 5 decembrie, iar în fiecare zi de luni până vineri, de la ora 17:10, vor fi difuzate câte două episoade.
Cele patru sezoane ale producției SF americane au fost lansate în perioada 1993 – 1997, perioadă în care a primit, între altele, cinci nominalizări la premiile Primetime Emmy și o selecție la premiile Sindicatului regizorilor americani.
Serialul de televiziune are la bază personajul DC Comics creat de Jerry Siegel și Joe Shuster.
Dean Cain este Clark Kent și alter-ego-ul Superman, iar Teri Hatcher, cunoscută pentru rolurile din „Neveste disperate/ Desperate Housewives” și „007 și Imperiul Zilei de Mâine/ Tomorrow Never Dies”, interpretează rolul Lois Lane.
Serialul este centrat pe relația dintre Lois și Clark, precum și pe aventurile lui ca Superman.
La 27 de ani după ce a fost găsit de Jonathan și Martha Kent, în urma prăbușirii unei mici navete spațiale, Clark ajunge din Smallville, oraș fictiv din Kansas, în Metropolis, unde se angajează la ziarul Daily Planet. Aici devine partener de investigații al lui Lois Lane
Se îndrăgostește de ea la prima vedere, iar după ce alter-ego-ul o salvează dintr-un accident, ea imediat începe să viseze la el, numindu-l Superman. Cu timpul însă, Superman își găsește și un adversar valoros, care îi descoperă punctul slab și faptul că are o identitate secretă.
Din distribuție mai fac parte Lane Smith, K Callan, Eddie Jones, Justin Whalin și John Shea.
Printre cei care au regizat episoade ale serialului se numără Robert Butler, Philip Sgriccia, Randy Zisk, Alan J. Levi și Michael W. Watkins.
„Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” va fi difuzat de Warner TV înaintea serialului de aventuri „Smallville”, cu Tom Welling în rol principal, programat de la ora 19:05.
