Am vizionat “A Dog’s Purpose” marți la Grand Cinema Băneasa. Mă așteptam ca filmul să fie emoționant, însă, în realitate, … a fost foarte, foarte emoționant.
Scenariul pornește de la premisa romanului scris de Bruce Cameron, convingerea filosofică că ființele vii se reîncarnează, având mai multe vieți pe Pământ. În cazul nostru, protagonistul canin moare și renaște de câteva ori; și, în timpul fiecărei vieți, gândurile sale, exprimate de Josh Gad, ne arată ceea ce crede, simte și întrebările pe care și le pune. Pentru că orice câine se naște cu un motiv.
Pe parcursul celor 100 de minute ale lungmetrajului, vom asista la unele din cele mai adorabile momente dintre oameni și prietenii cei mai buni, câinii; vom plânge și vom râde, deoarece pelicula ne duce de la o scenă dramatică la alta amuzantă și așa mai departe. Nu în ultimul rând, ne va aminti de prietenia sinceră pe care ne-o oferă animalele și cât de loiale pot să fie, totul amplificând emoția transmisă de „A Dog’s Purpose”.
Prima viață a protagonistului nostru este scurtă și, după ce trece printr-un văl de lumină, se reîncarnează într-un Red Retriever. La scurt timp, este adoptat de un băiețel, Ethan, și primește un nume: Bailey. Cei doi devin de nedespărțit, iar prietenia lor mi-a amintit (și, poate, nu doar mie!) de momentele speciale pe care le-am petrecut cu animalele mele de companie.
Peste câțiva ani, când Ethan devine adolescent, sosește clipa cea mai grea: despărțirea de cel mai bun amic. Bailey, acum bătrân, își pierde treptat din putere și moare.
Se întoarce în cea de-a treia viață ca Ellie, o cățelușă care este antrenată de polițiști pentru cazuri speciale de urmărire a infractorilor. Partenerul ei de misiune, Carlos, un bărbat îngândurat și trist, ajunge să țină la Ellie și cei doi devin prieteni.
În cea de-a patra viață, se reîncarnează în Tino și este adoptat de Maya. Mâncând înghețată și pizza, se adaptează destul de bine la noua familie, însă continuă să se gândească la băiatul său, Ethan.
În cea de-a cincea viață, se întoarce ca Buddy. Înțelegând care este misiunea sa, Bailey (Buddy) va folosi toate informațiile dobândite până atunci pentru a-și duce la bun sfârșit planul.
Lasse Hallström este cel care a regizat „Hachi: A Dog’s Tale”, un alt film emoționant despre iubire, loialitate și compasiune, povestea câinelui Hachiko fiind impresionantă. Așadar, regizorul revine cu „A Dog’s Purpose”, o nouă producție care nu ne va lăsa indiferenți, ci ne va înduioșa și va fura multe lacrimi.
În ceea ce privește distribuția, câinii reprezintă, cu siguranță, starurile peliculei și nu ai cum să nu îi îndrăgești, iar actorul Josh Gad, vocea care ne spune gândurile lui Bailey, reușește să ne transmită ceea ce simte un câine isteț care își pune o sumedenie de întrebări, încercând să afle care este scopul său, și folosește informațiile pe care le obține în fiecare viață pentru a-și îndeplini misiunea.
