În urmă cu 35 de ani un SF revoluționar a fost lansat pe marile ecrane: Vânătorul de recompense (Blade runner). Regizat de Ridley Scott și bazat pe romanul lui Philip K Dick, Do androids dream of electric sheep?, filmul i-a „proiectat” pe spectatori într-un altfel de viitor, un viitor pe care nu-l mai văzuseră în vreun film. Deși nu a fost un succes la box office, filmul a devenit în cultura modern un clasic, fiind un film complet inovator. Această capodoperă vizionară a lui Scott e considerată pe drept unul dintre cele mai importante filme ale tuturor timpurilor. Acum, la mai bine de 3 decenii, Blade runner 2049, regizat de Denis Villeneuve, după un scenariu scris de Hampton Fancher și Michael Green, ne poartă din nou în lumea care a cucerit generații întregi de fani. Va fi o experiență cinematografică de neuitat pentru fanii primului film. Am vizionat acest film la Cinema Dacia Reșița, azi de la ora 16:00 și le mulțumesc cu această ocazie organizatorilor pentru invitație.
Agentul K e trimis într-o misiune care ar putea avea consecințe serioase și care ar pune la îndoială deosebirea dintre oameni și imitațiile lor, replicanții, niște androizi aflați între umanitate și tehnologie. Descoperirele agentului K sunt periculoase pentru că ne-ar putea conduce către război sau anarhie.
Harrison Ford revine în rolul lui Rick Deckard, fostul vânător de recompense care la finalul filmului s-a dovedit a fi un replicant. Deckard a trecut prin evenimente tragice în ultimii ani. De asemenea el era însărcinat cu păstrarea anumitor secrete şi se simţea obligat să menţină tăcerea asupra lor. El ştia că e urmărit, aşa că s-a ascuns într-un loc unde nu se aştepta nimeni să se ducă. Era un loc periculos, unde el a dus o viaţă singuratică şi izolată;
Ryan Gosling e agentul K, care are o viaţă foarte grea şi este un personaj foarte singuratic. El are cea mai grea slujbă din lume, dar pe neaşteptate, din ultima sa misiune izvorăşte un vis … o dorinţă atât de mare încât îl orbeşte. El e noul vânător de recompense (un replicant versiunea modernă) și misiunea sa e de a ucide versiunile mai vechi de replicanți, dar va face o descoperire care îi va pune viața în pericol. Indiciul care l-a făcut pe K să-i ia urma lui Deckard a fost descoperit în arhivele Wallace Corporation. Deşi majoritatea dovezilor fuseseră distruse în timpul catastrofei EMP din 2022, cunoscută sub numele de „Întunericul”, câteva rămăşiţe fuseseră salvate, inclusiv una în care vocea lui Deckard putea fi cu greu auzită;
Jared Leto e Niander Wallace, șeful orb al Wallace Corporation, a cărui voce suavă maschează ambiţiile sale nemăsurate. Încercarea lui obsesivă de a crea replicantul perfect,un slujitor perfect care să nu se opună ordinelor venite de la autoritatea umană, s-a soldat cu crearea ultimului model intitulat Nexus 9. Wallace îi vede necesari pe replicanţi pentru supravieţuirea speciei umane…d ar el nu poate crea prea multe exemplare. În contul acestei datorii morale el a obţinut abolirea prohibiţiei asupra folosirii replicanţilor, ceea ce lui i-a adus o bogăţie incalculabilă şi o putere nelimitată;
Sylbia Hoeks e Luv, un replicant a cărei devoțiune față de Wallace depășește grabițele profesionale. Pentru ea Wallace e mai mult decât un șef. Ea se străduieşte deci să fie cea mai bună, să fie tot ceea ce şeful ei doreşte să fie, sau chiar mai mult de atât. Ea face tot ce-i stă în putere pentru ca el să cucerească lumea şi să-şi împlinească visurile. Ea are impresia că aceasta ar fi cheia spre fericire, chiar dacă nu ştie prea bine ce înseamnă fericirea;
Ana de Armas e Joi, femeia de lângă K. Relația dintre cei doi e mai mult decât romantică. Ea e prietena lui, confidenta lui şi singurul sprijin pe care îl are, chiar dacă este doar o hologramă;
Robin Wright o interpretează pe locotenentul LAPD Joshi, şefa lui K, ale cărei ordine către blade runner dovedesc că ea va face tot ceea ce este necesar pentru a păstra ordinea.
Spre deosebire de filmul iniţial, Blade Runner 2049 scoate acţiunea filmului dincolo de zidurile oraşului Los Angeles. Investigaţia lui K îl duce până în sud, în zona San Diego, unde Spinner este forţat să aterizeze într-un câmp plin cu fier vechi, care se întinde cât vezi cu ochii. Urmându-l pe Rick Deckard, K ajunge în California, în oraşul Las Vegas, Nevada, oraş care nu mai seamănă de loc cu strălucitoarea capitală a plăcerilor de altă dată.
Unele dintre cele mai grele zile de filmare au fost petrecute într-un enorm tank de apă, construit special pentru secvenţa esenţială de acţiune din Blade Runner 2049. Coordonatorul efectelor speciale, Gerd Nefzer şi echipa sa au supravegheat construcţia acestui tank, cu capacitatea de 300 de tone de apă, care măsura între 1 m şi 5 m adâncime. Echipa SFX a trebuit să construiască o macara–platformă care să permită mişcare limuzinei Spinner în bătaia valurilor. Pentru a proteja actorii care trebuia să stea în apă uneori şi câteva ore la rând, s-au adus nişte boilere acţionate de motoare diesel, care menţineau apa la o temperatură confortabilă pentru corpul uman. În contact cu noaptea rece, apa din piscină crea un abur, care părea un nor de ceaţă potrivit atmosferei.

i) Erik Davis de la Fandango a spus: „Blade Runner 2049 este o capodoperă a genului SF; e tipul de film pe care rar îl mai vezi în ziua de azi. Uluitor din punct de vedere vizual. Absolut fantastic!”
ii) Bryan Alexander de la USA TODAY a spus: „Am urmărit întreaga proiecţie, de 2 ore si 43 de minute, cu tot cu genericele. M-a impresionant mai mult decât originalul. Nu credeam că acest lucru este posibil”
iii) Jenna Busch de la comingsoon.net e de părere că: „Blade Runner 2049 a fost unul dintre filmele care m-au fascinat. Te captivează total şi te poartă, parcă, într-o altă lume. Denis Villeneuve a creat o capodoperă”.
Părerea mea?! Nu ştiu dacă e o capodoperă şi cea mai bună continuare realizată vreodată, dar dacă v-a plăcut versiunea din 1982 cu siguranţă veţi adora acestă continuare. Mie mi-a plăcut mult mai mult decât filmul original. Dar dacă nu v-a plăcut sau nu aţi vizionat pelicula din 1982, vă recomand să nu-l vizionaţi pentru că cel mai probabil vă veţi plictisi şi mă veţi înjura că v-am trimis la un film plictisitor.
