Spre rușinea mea, eu nu auzisem de Pitch Perfect până nu am văzut trailer-ul pentru partea a doua. Și fiind mare fană Rebel Wilson, mi-am zis că trebuie să văd ce e cu filmele astea două, nota de pe IMDb pentru prima parte fiind foarte bună pentru o comedie romantică/musical. Așa că am văzut Tonul perfect 1 luni, cu 2 zile înainte să vizionez avanpremiera părții secunde. Pot să spun din start că mi-a plăcut mai mult a doua parte, apărută anul acesta și adusă la noi de Ro Image, e mult mai concentrată pe fete ca grup și pe relațiile dintre ele decât prima parte.
Primul film se axează mai mult pe integrarea Becăi în The Barden Bellas, trupă ce cântă a cappela și se războiește cu The Treblemakers, grupul de băieți de la aceeași universitate care le fac zile fripte și le sunt cei mai mari adversari. Desigur, romantismul poveștii e în doze mai ridicate, deoarece Beca are un admirator din gruparea adversă, Jesse, nou venit în Treblemakers.
În al doilea film, însă, fetele se află în lumina reflectoarelor, scenariul se concentrează pe încercările acestora de a supraviețui ca grup a cappella și de a câștiga o competiție internațională pe care nicio trupă din America nu a reușit s-o câștige vreodată. E mult mai interesant așa, observăm astfel că un grup care s-a sudat timp de 3 ani încă are breșe, căci fetele își ascund lucruri importante, care le-ar putea distrage atenția de la obiectivul suprem: câștigarea concursului.
În cazul în care le-ați uitat, iată și membrele echipei The Bellas:
Beca (Anna Kendrick) – tipa realistă și pe care o iubim încă din partea întâi
Amy (Rebel Wilson) – talentata grăsuță care ne face să râdem non-stop
Chloe (Brittany Snow) – roșcata cu o voce superbă și care începe să-i calce pe urme lui Aubrey când vine vorba de crize
Emily (Hailee Steinfeld) – boboaca scumpă care vrea să-i calce mamei sale pe urme; m-a surprins cu zâmbetul perfect și nonșalanța cu care și-a intrat în rol – o partitură foarte diferită de cea din True Grit, unde personajul ei este genial, dar complet opus celui de-acum. Acest film a reprezentat și debutul muzical al actriței, care cântă un cover superb după Flashlight al lui Jesse J.
Stacie (Alexis Knapp) – sexy și cam nimfomană
Flo (Chrissie Fit) – imigranta care mereu are o anecdotă în mânecă
Lilly (Hana Mae Lee) – asiatica nițel cam ciudățică și pe care nu prea o poate auzi nimeni din cauza volumului dat la minim și Cynthia (Ester Dean) – cea mai faină voce din echipă, se cunoaște că-i negresă, este greu de egalat
Jessica (Kelley Jackle) și Ashley (Shelley Regner) – (stânga-mijloc) dar pe acestea nici membrele echipei nu prea știu să le diferențieze
De-acum, bătălia nu mai e doar la nivel de universitate și țară, ci mondial, căci inamicii numărul 1 sunt, surprize surprize, o echipă de nemți îngâmfați și îngrozitor de talentați. Pe mine The Barden Bellas m-au distrat teribil, glumele sunt mult mai reușite și comicul de situație este absolut delicios, mi se pare că ăsta e unul din puținele filme care-și depășește predecesorul, calitativ vorbind. Debutul regizoral al lui Elizabeth Banks este o adevărată reușită, deși regia nu iese în evidență la fel de mult ca soundtrack-ul sau acting-ul.
Povestea nu e surprinzătoare, dar îți oferă mult prea multe ocazii ca să te tăvălești pe jos de râs pentru a mai fi supărat pe scenariștii care nu s-au străduit mai mult, actrițele sunt minunate, nici nu se punea problema să fie altfel, iar muzica, dragii mei, ei bine, muzica este absolut genială. Kay Cannon și Mickey Rapkin sunt și scenariștii primei părți, de aceea personajele evoluează exact cum m-aș fi așteptat, bazându-mă pe evenimentele din prima parte.
Îmi place foarte mult ideea de bază a filmului – fetele o comit grav de tot la început, așa că sunt nevoite să-și spele păcatele până la final, strângând din dinți și lucrând ca o echipă, indiferent de diferențe și conflicte. Sunt curioasă cum ar fi arătat filmul dacă dorința lui Rebel Wilson s-ar fi îndeplinit și Demi Lovato ar fi fost cooptată în echipă. Nu că m-aș plânge, fetele au niște voci superbe, mai ales Anna Kendrick, care-i micuță și adorabilă ca un minion. Se pare că ea a improvizat toate replicile ratate pe care i le adresează lui Kommissar, liderul echipei germane.
Nu-i de mirare c-au fost atât de haios de tâmpite, au fost spontane. Oricum, Rebel Wilson mi s-a părut cel mai amuzant personaj, ea face toate idioțeniile posibile, dar tot nu te poți supăra pe ea. Vă zisesem că romantismul aici e în doze mai reduse: ce am vrut să spun de fapt e că cele 3 legături mai importante din film oferă mult mai multe faze comice decât siropoase, inclusiv cea din filmul trecut, dintre Beca și Jesse (care, în realitate, este iubitul Annei Camp (crizata de Aubrey)). Fetele-s baza în filmul ăsta, ce tot atâta dragoste, când e un campionat de câștigat?

Kristen Wiig a fost inițial aleasă pentru a o juca pe Gail, dar ce bine că a fost înlocuită cu Banks, care a ajuns ulterior să regizeze și sequel-ul. Nici nu e de mirare că e atât de tare coloana sonoră, piesele sunt superbe indiferent de anii în care au apărut, iar unele trupe chiar asta fac în realitate, cântă a cappella, de aceea sună atât de bine!
