„Visul” – cel mai nou lungmetraj regizat de Cătălin Saizescu („Scurtcircuit”, „Milionari de weekend”) – va fi prezentat în premieră mondială în cadrul Festivalului Internațional de Film Transilvania, ediția 22, secțiunea Zilele Filmului Românesc. Proiecția ce va avea loc în Cluj-Napoca miercuri, 14 iunie (ora 18:00, Cinema Florin Piersic) va fi urmată de o sesiune de întrebări și răspunsuri cu o parte din membrii echipei: regizorul Cătălin Saizescu, scenaristul Gabriel Gheorghe, actorii Vlad Logigan, Georgiana Saizescu, Magda Catone, Silviu Mircescu, Serghei Niculescu-Mizil și Ștefan Lupu, directorul de imagine Tudor Mircea, editorul Tudor Chivulescu, scenografa Corina Grămoșteanu, producătorii Ruxandra Flonta și Viorel Chesaru, alături de compozitorul Alexei Țurcan.
Inspirat din fapte reale, după un scenariu semnat de Gabriel Gheorghe, „Visul” este o comedie care urmărește un șir de întâmplări al căror protagonist este Alex, un actor din provincie (Vlad Logigan) care, ocolit de succes în teatrul unde este ignorat de un mare regizor (jucat de George Ivașcu), acceptă propunerea directoarei (Magda Catone) de a pune în scenă un spectacol la un penitenciar de maximă siguranță, sub atenta supraveghere a unei tinere gardience (Gloria Găitan). Viața lui Alex se complică: în timp ce se refugiază în munca la spectacolul „Visul unei nopți de vară” pe scena din pușcărie, iubita lui, Carmen (Georgiana Saizescu) se vede mai aproape de succesul la care visează, iar relația dintre ei se schimbă. Îi rămân întâlnirile cu deținuții, însă, aceștia au o cu totul altă motivație să învețe replicile scrise de Shakespeare: fac tot ce le stă în putință să fie selecționați în cadrul festivalului de teatru de penitenciar, după ce află că fiecare scenă are o trapă prin care ar putea evada.
„Visul, un titlu pe cât de simplu, pe atât de complex, ce înglobează vise și visuri, ale tuturor personajelor ce construiesc această poveste, pleacă dintr-o experiență personală, a scenaristului. Când m-am întâlnit cu Gabi Gheorghe, în urmă cu cinci ani, am vorbit despre o întâmplare trăită de el când a fost trimis de la teatru să lucreze cu niște deținuți la un penitenciar pentru festivalul național de teatru de penitenciar, iar subiectul mi s-a părut foarte incitant. Bineînțeles că realitatea a fost împletită cu ficțiunea și Visul nostru a depășit banala întâmplare, transformându-se într-un scenariu de comedie ce atinge mai multe planuri. De la visul de libertate la care aspiră toți protagoniștii filmului, de după gratii dar și din afara lor, la visul de iubire, speranță și recunoaștere. Arta este unul dintre lucrurile ce-l deosebesc pe om de animal, iar în filmul nostru reușește chiar să schimbe oameni și destine, ajutând societatea să recâștige niște indivizi aparent pierduți pentru ea.”, spune regizorul Cătălin Saizescu.
