Proiecții speciale în prezența regizorului Róbert Lakatos sunt programate la Cluj-Napoca (2 noiembrie, ora 20:00, la Cinema Victoria; 9 noiembrie, ora 20:00, la Cinema Arta), București (3 noiembrie, ora 20:30, la Cinema Elvire Popesco).
“Al cui câine sunt?” va rula la Târgu Mureș în Sala Studio a Universității de Arte, vineri, 11 noiembrie, de la ora 19:00. Evenimentul, organizat în parteneriat cu Universitatea de Arte Târgu Mureș și Teatrul Național Târgu Mureș, va avea loc în prezența regizorului.
Sâmbătă, 12 noiembrie, de la ora 19:00, “Al cui câine sunt?” va fi programat la Centrul Cultural Reduta din Brașov.
Pe 23 noiembrie documentarul satiric revine la Sibiu, la Centrul Cultural “Ion Besoiu” în cadrul ESTE Filmul de Miercuri.
“Al cui câine sunt?” este programat la Vatra Dornei – Casa de Cultură “Platon Pardău” pe 21 decembrie, ora 18:00.
Acest eseu documentar satiric vorbește despre politică într-o lume în care cetățenii sunt câinii, politicienii sunt crescătorii de câini, funcționarii sunt proprietarii, națiunile sunt rasele naționale câinești, țările sunt federațiile naționale ale crescătorilor, iar forumul suprem internațional este Federația Canină Internațională. Regizorul este cel care interpretează realitatea și manipulează opinia publică.
„Am vrut să fac un film pe care Caragiale și-ar dori să-l vadă”, spune regizorul Róbert Lakatos. „În acest documentar satiric, ideologiile de creștere a câinilor sunt metafore pentru politicile naționale și sociale ale oamenilor”.
Regizorul filmului, membru al minorității maghiare din România (în regiunea Transilvaniei), în timp ce caută «mireasa» perfectă pentru alter-ego-ul său, un câine de rasă Kuvasz (deci, un ungur de rasă pură), și astfel se trezește implicat în politica de creștere a câinilor. Pe parcursul poveștii, regizorul intră sub influența diferitelor ideologii, precum naționalismul (când află că rasele maghiare sunt degenerate, încearcă să salveze aceste rase de la degenerare), regionalismul (când încearcă să dezvolte o nouă rasă regională maghiară transilvăneană, ca expresie a identității sale culturale specifice), sau liberalismul (când află în urma testului său genetic că este o «persoană de rasă mixtă», deci, practic, o corcitură). Însă, este dezamăgit de toate aceste variante – așa încât eșuează ca politician canin. Dar speranța lui pentru o viață mai bună, normală și decentă nu moare niciodată și găsește mereu o idee nouă…

Róbert Lakatos, născut în 1968, la Cluj-Napoca, este regizor de film și director de imagine, Conf. Univ. și locțiitor șef de catedră al Departamentului Media, secția Film, Fotografie și Media din cadrul Universității Sapientia, Universitatea Maghiară din Transilvania (Cluj-Napoca).
În anul 2000, a absolvit secția de imagine a Școlii Naționale de Film din Polonia din Lódz. Pentru filmele sale, a primit mai multe premii, precum Europa Cinemas Label la Karlovy Vary 2008, Golden Dove la Leipzig și premiul Criticii de film din Ungaria.
A debutat regizoral în 2003, cu scurtmetrajul documentar „Csendország / Tărâmul liniștii”. Acestui film i-au urmat două scurtmetraje documentare și de ficțiune, iar primul lungmetraj de docu-ficțiune a fost „Bahrtalo! / Hai noroc!”, lansat în 2008.
