In The Fade / În Întuneric – cu titlul original Aus dem Nichts – este un film realizat de Fatih Akin cu Warner Bros. Germania și distribuit în țara noastră de Independența Film. Am ales să merg la avanpremiera acestuia (care s-a petrecut la Cinema City Afi Palace Cotroceni) tocmai fiindcă îmi dădusem seama că nu am mai fost de ceva vreme la filme în care se vorbește și altă limbă decât engleza. Filmul de altfel a câștigat Globul de Aur pentru cel mai bun film într-o limbă străină, în cazul de față germana.
Narațiunea se desfășoară în Germania (și în Grecia în ultimul act), unde viața Katjei (Diane Kruger – Cea mai bună actriță la Cannes 2017) este subit dată peste cap de un atac cu bombă care îi ucide soțul și fiul. Katja caută să pună să se răzbune pe această injustiție după o perioadă grea de doliu.
Este un film nu tocmai ușor de digerat prin realismul cu care tratează subiectele dezbătute, nu prin vreo violență afișată faptelor. Încă din start, când vezi că protagonista este o nemțoaică care se căsătorește cu un pușcăriaș turc, fără să vrei în mintea ta se derulează câteva stereotipuri cu care luăm contact în viața de zi cu zi. Însă turcul Șekerci devine un om cinstit care iese din lumea interlopă odată ce întemeiază familia. Atacul cu bomba de la biroul său, la care se afla și fiul celor doi, trezește suspiciuni evidente pentru polițiști.
Fără să divulg prea multe din poveste, am să spun că scenariul urmărește acțiunea pe parcursul anchetei, a procesului de judecată după ce presupușii făptași sunt găsiți dar și după ce se dă verdictul.
Spuneam că este un film ceva mai greu de digerat datorită sentimetelor puternice afișate de actori, cu care este ușor să te conectezi dacă ești o persoană empatică. In The Fade vorbește despre cât de ușor poți pierde o persoană dragă doar pentru alții au alte mentalități despre viață și societatea în care trăim. Fatih Akin, atât ca regizor cât și ca scenarist al dramei, nu se sfiește de la a comenta, subtil și punctual, stereotipurile cu care încă ne confruntăm oriunde ne-am afla pe planetă.
Am ieșit de la In The Fade cu o stare proastă și dezamăgită. Nu din cauza calității filmului , căci din contră, este o dramă și o poveste de viață reușită. Ci pentru că și-a atins ținta și mi-a amintit să fiu supărat pe răutatea care există. Mi-a amintit că există oameni care au un ghinion atât de fatal, cu suferințe mai dure decât propria moarte.
De obicei mergem la film ca să ne detașăm de realitate, dar câteodată mai apare un astfel de film care ne dezmorțește și ne acorează la realitate.
