Am văzut Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny la Cinema City mulțumită invitației primite de la RanCommunication & CineForum.
Când spui Indiana Jones, te gândești automat la aventuri, locații exotice, relicve mistice și la un Harrison Ford cu pălăria și biciul său, mărcile sale înregistrate. După mai bine de 40 de ani, Ford și Indy se întorc pentru o ultimă aventură în Indiana Jones and Dial of Destiny. Poate aceasta să fie la înălțimea moștenirii unuia dintre cele mai iubite personaje din istoria cinematografiei?
Dial of Destiny începe în 1944 când Indy (Harrison Ford) se află în căutarea unei relicve antice despre care Hitler crede că îi va oferi puterea supremă pentru a câștiga războiul. În această misiune grea, îl ajută Basil Shaw (Toby Jones), un vechi prieten care descoperă că naziștii au găsit Antikythera pierdută, un cadran proiectat de matematicianul Arhimede. Basil este prins de naziști, conduși de Jürgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen), un expert în rachete care crede că cadranul deține cheia pentru a schimba cursul războiului.
Primele scene din Dial of Destiny prezintă un Ford digitizat care arată foarte bine. Este una dintre cele mai bune încercări de întinerire computerizată, din punctul meu de vedere. Aceste scene prezintă, de asemenea, o urmărire fantastică în tren, cu un Indy care luptă până la capăt. James Mangold, preluând locul lui Steven Spielberg, și-a făcut, cu siguranță, temele. Întreaga scenă se simte ca o piesă clasică Indiana Jones.
Filmul trece apoi în 1969, când Indy lucrează ca profesor la o facultate din New York, fiind subapreciat de studenții săi.
