Din 2 februarie putem vedea The Death of Stalin (Moartea lui Stalin) și-n cinematografele noastre, prin intermediul Odeon, după ce a stârnit râsete pe la festivaluri ca Sundance și Torino toamna trecută. Ușor-ușor, parodia care relatează ultima zi din viața temutului dictator și haosul ce a urmat după subita lui moarte urmează să fie distribuit și în alte țări europene până la primăvară.
Înainte să ajung la vizionarea care s-a petrecut alaltăieri în cadrul Grand Entertainment nu nu știam cât să mă aștept să râd, pentru că nu urmărisem nici un trailer în prealabil. Da, câteodată încerc să mă las cât mai surprins de un film, fără să îmi construiesc niște așteptări pe baza unui trailer. Totuși, câteva așteptări vagi tot ai. Mă așteptam să râd, dar nu știam dacă o să râd cu filmul sau de film. Am râs cu filmul, ca între tovarăși.
Vă spun însă că este un film de gustat alături de tovarăși. Regizată de scoțianul Armando Iannucci (credeam că e italian după nume), Moartea lui Stalin nu-i o parodie marcată de bufonerii ridicole ca orice Disaster Movie și altele cu „Movie” în coadă. L-aș plasa undeva la intersecția dintre umor britanic și umor negru care nu poate fi apreciat în aceeași măsură de toată lumea. Violența și vocabularul deocheat sunt la ordinea zilei, dar cumva rafinate și cu măsură, folosite simțitor mai diferit față de comediile obișnuite. Sau comediile americane, să le spunem.
Nu este atât de important personajul lui Stalin cât ceea ce se întâmplă după moartea sa. Aș fi vrut totuși să fie portretizat o idee mai impunător decât a fost în cele câteva scene de început. De fapt, sunt savuroase reacțiile celorlalți din jurul său, atâta timp cât trăiește. Membrii de partid vor să-i facă cât mai pe plac cu putință. După neașteptatul deces, toți membrii de partid apropiați lui nu știu ce să facă, haosul sporind din cauza acțiunilor lui Hrușciov (Steve Buscemi) și Beria (Simon Russell Beale) care vor să pună mâna pe putere, deși îl susțin oficial pe Malenkov (Jeffrey Tambor), succesorul lui Stalin.
Am râs cu poftă nu neapărat de personaje ci de diversele situații comice, adesea macabre, în special cele care implică trupele NKVD. Mai trebuie menționat faptul că oricât de ridicole par unele glume sau gaguri, ele au un gust ce poate fi mai intens simțit de spectatorii de o anumită vârstă. Sau de cei pasionați de istorie care s-au documentat mai îndeaproape despre regimurile comuniste. Nu-ți face griji, dacă ai fost atent la lecțiile de istorie din liceu, vei înțelege evenimentele relatate de film.
Am apreciat răceala rusească și autenticitatea platoului de filmare și a figuranților, întreaga distributțe fiind credibila în jocul ei. Aproape că eram cu ei acolo. Nu mă așteptam să-mi placă așa mult decorul și imaginea unui film de parodie, care de obicei este editat în culori calde și detalii superficiale.
Este unul din rarele filme actuale pe care vreau imediat să le arăt părinților mei. Sunt curios dacă vor râde mai mult decât mine. Aș fi vrut un film la care să cad de pe scaun de râs, însă m-am amuzat suficient, mai ales că tind să prefer poantele mai macabre – care aici nu se învârtea mereu în jurul personajelor principale.
Oare tovarășului Stalin i-ar fi plăcut filmul, sau ne-ar fi trimis pe toți în gulag?
P.S.: Am să-mi caut banda desenată cu același titlu din care se inspira această comedie biografică.
