“Rock Dog” este o producţie chineză-americană produsă de Mandoo Pictures şi Huayi Brothers. Regia îi aparţine lui Ash Brannon, iar scenariul este scris de Brannon şi Kurt Voelker, având la bază romanul grafic “Tibetan Rock Dog” de Zheng Jun.

Am vizionat “Rock Dog” sâmbătă la Grand Cinema Băneasa. Animaţia spune povestea lui Bodi, un mastiff tibetan care locuieşte cu tatăl său, Khampa, şi o turmă de oi în munţi. Într-o zi, satul este atacat de lupi, iar Khampa decide că singurul lucru care contează este siguranţa locuitorilor şi orice formă de distracţie, inclusiv muzica, trebuie să fie interzisă pentru ca toţi să poată fi atenţi în cazul în care lupii ar ataca din nou satul.
Anii trec, iar Bodi visează în secret să devină muzician, deşi tatăl lui are alte planuri şi îşi doreşte ca fiul său să devină paznicul satului şi să îi ia locul atunci când va veni momentul.
