Strange World este o animație științifico-fantastică din 2022, produsă de Walt Disney Animation Studios și distribuită de Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Totodată, este cel de-al 61-lea film de animație produs de studio, fiind regizat de Don Hall, scris și co-regiat de Qui Nguyen și produs de Roy Conli. Animația urmărește povestea unei familii legendare de exploratori care trebuie să-și lase deoparte diferențele în timp ce pornesc într-o călătorie către un tărâm misterios, locuit de forme de viață neobișnuite, pentru a salva o resursă numită Pando – de la pierderea sursei de energie.
Am văzut Strange World la Cinema City, mulțumită invitației primite de la Cineforum & RanCommunication 🙂 Am fost întotdeauna o mare fană a animațiilor, în special ale celor produse de Disney și nu ratez nimic. Strange World este o animație spectaculoasă și are o poveste foarte bine scrisă, care ne prezintă o familie de exploratori ce încearcă să-și salveze țara. Ei pornesc într-o aventură fantastică, însă, ceea ce iese în evidență în toată această aventură a lor, este o încercare de a prezenta diversitate și multiculturalism. Strange World are o căsătorie interrasială, un fiu adolescent homosexual îndrăgostit și un câine cu dizabilități.
Renumitul explorator Jaeger Clade își conduce fiul, Searcher, și o echipă de expediție într-o misiune de supraviețuire. Casa lor, Avalonia, dispune de resurse slabe și se află într-o vale înconjurată de un lanț de munți. Jaeger este obsedat de cățăratul pe munți. Searcher ajunge să înțeleagă că cea mai mare realizare a sa nu este o strategie energetică fezabilă pe termen lung.
Strange World impresionează prin efectele speciale. Terenul ciudat, plantele și animalele arată incredibil. Ethan se împrietenește cu o creatură de culoare albastră, de formă ciudată, pe care o numește Splat. Ei nu pot înțelege ce încearcă Splat să spună, dar asistența acestuia duce la o dezvăluire majoră.
