Ghost in the Shell se află acum în cinematografe, distribuit de RoImage2000, și merită văzut în IMAX 3D dacă ai ocazia. Filmul este o adaptare după un film anime omonim, la rându-i bazat pe o serie manga.

Există fani ai filmului japonez cu colaborare americană care sunt tare nemulțumiți de cursul schimbat al narațiunii, dar am văzut și fani care au fost încântați de numeroasele scene recreate după animație, surprinși în mod plăcut de schimbările oferite.
Eu am fost la vizionarea de joi seară de la IMAX și pot enumera 3 motive principale pentru care filmul merită văzut, chiar dacă ești fan al poveștii originale, dar poate mai ales dacă nu ai văzut vechiul anime din 1995 și nu ești interesat de o poveste prea complicată.
1. Mediul înconjurător.
Orașul cyberpunk arată la fel de bine ca în trailer-uri. Orașul este împânzit de reclame holografice gigantice care se mișcă în culori vibrante, mașini „pătrățoase” și ascuțite, străzi aglomerate în care mașinile, cetățenii și roboții circulă în dezordine.
Dacă stai să-l savurezi cu privirea, vei realiza că spațiul în care se desfășoară acțiunea comunică cu spectatorii și într-o manieră mai subtilă. Unele reclame îți dau de gândit, făcând referire la îmbunătățirile pe care le conferă implanturile tehnologice și la cât de departe sunt dispuși oamenii să meargă cu ele. Pe mine m-a întristat gândul că putem să ne dezumanizăm în măsura sugerată, fiind nemulțumiți de corpurile noastre, sau mai rău, să dictăm din start structura genetică a copilului pe care urmează să-l avem.
Totodată vedem și cartierele sărace, formate din blocuri uriașe de apartamente mici și aglomerate, unde, culmea, e cel mai liniște. Aceste spații gri, unele părăsite, sunt lipsite de lumină, au un aspect abandonat, de parcă lumea tehnologică a mers înainte și i-a lăsat în urmă pe cei care nu și-o permit financiar.
Oamenii care populează orașul „sfințesc locul”. Nu poți distinge cu ușurință cât de modificați sunt. Nu știi cine e om „pur”, cine are îmbunătățiri majore sau cine e de fapt un robot 100%. Varietatea de personalități de toate genurile și naționalitățile, cu implanturi ce variază de la proteze simple la îmbunătățiri avansate nenecesare instalate doar de dragul vremurilor. Unele implanturi nu știi că sunt acolo până nu sunt dezvăluite.
2. Personajele bad-ass.
Din impresiile colegilor de peste ocean venite din vizionările sneak peak, mă așteptam la personaje slab conturate. Mai ales de la Scarlett Johansson nu mă așteptam la cine știe ce prestație, fiindcă în alte filme mi se pare inexpresivă și supraapreciată. Totuși, rolul de om-mașină pare să i se potrivească tocmai de asta. Major este o veritabilă agentă de elită care știe să bată și să încaseze.
Mult mai mult mi-au plăcut Batou și Aramaki.
Pilou Asbæk trece printr-o majoră schimbare de look pentru rol, semănând destul de mult cu Batou cel din anime și manga, poate mai mult decât seamănă Scarlett cu Major. Sergent la Section 9, Batou este cel mai loial coleg al lui Major. Comparat cu ea, Batou este mai limitat ca îmbunătățiri tehnologice, iar comportamenul său este vădit uman, în ciuda versatilității cu care se luptă cu răufăcătorii. În el cred că este cel mai ușor să te regăsești. Nu prea îi plac oamenii, dar are o inimă mare pentru câinii de care se ocupă în puținul timp liber.
Aramaki, șeful secției de poliție, beneficiază și el de niște scene bad-ass, deși nu te-ai aștepta la început. Privirea sa inspiră o șiretenie de vulpe bătrână, dobândită prin experiența de polițist. Își cunoaște subalternii de sus până jos și nu are încredere în nimeni altcineva. După ce doboară câțiva cyborgi trimiși să-l asasineze, replica pe care o spune în japoneză mi-a rămas în minte: „nu trimite un iepure să omoare o vulpe”.
3. Coloana sonoră.
În ultima lună, sau mai mult, m-am plâns că muzica din filmele pe care le-am văzut nu a fost memorabilă. La Logan am reușit să o rețin după a doua vizionare. Melodiile din Frumoasa și Bestia, deși încântătoare, le-am uitat după ce am ieșit din sală. Cu siguranță ține și de gust, nu numai de reușita compozitorului.
Astfel că, gust cu plăcere muzica cu tematică cyberpunk, însă nu o ascult cu regularitate. Întreaga coloană sonoră realizată pentru Ghost in the Shell este memorabilă pentru mine. Fuziunea cu direcția artistică a graficii și unele momente lente este delicioasă. Fanii vor fi absolut încântați că ACEA melodie originală a versiunii din 1995 este introdusă totuși în genericul de final. Și da, am stat la genericul de final pentru a mă bucura în continuare de muzică. Păcat că Enjoy the Silence, piesa din trailer, nu a fost și ea introdusă.
